Who I Am
Hello! I’m Alyssa. I am a registered dietitian (RD) and an ACSM-Certified Personal Trainer. I received my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from The George Washington University, my Master of Science in Nutrition and Exercise Science from Teachers College Columbia University and completed my Dietetic Internship through Teachers College Columbia University. I am a fit foodie and would love to share my food and fitness tips with you!
Why I Created This Blog
I have a passion for nutrition and fitness that I plan to share with the world. I want to show everyone that eating real foods can be satisfying and exciting! I always think of food as a way to fuel my body for all that I do. Eating for fuel gives me the energy that I need to feel healthy, happy and excited to take on the day. As a foodie, I never let myself feel restricted by what I eat – I genuinely enjoy eating foods that do the body good (and some foods that may not, in moderation)! I hope you can use this blog as inspiration for healthy meals, activities and other ways to fuel your life – and feel free to comment with recipe ideas or any thoughts you may have!
